LuaProtect v1.3 - Stronger Protection, Faster Loading & a Fresh Look

LuaProtect v1.3 adds double-layer runner and script protection, a locked-down loader, faster script loading, macros in the runner, a new logo and brand kit, and lots of fixes.

Introduction

v1.3 is a big cleanup release. A lot of it happens behind the scenes: your scripts are better protected, they load faster, and a bunch of bugs that annoyed you (and us) are gone. On the surface, we also gave LuaProtect a fresh look with a new logo and an updated brand kit.

Here is everything that changed.

Security

Double-Layer Protection

The runner and your scripts now have a second layer of protection on top of the first. Even if someone gets past one layer, they still have the other one to deal with. You don't need to change anything. Every script you run through LuaProtect gets this automatically.

Loader Is Locked Down

Your loader link is meant to be run inside Roblox, not opened in a browser tab. We now block browsers and common download tools from viewing the loader, and direct access to the loader code is blocked as well. Your players are not affected, since executors keep working as before.

More Rate Limits

We added more rate limits in the places that were being hammered by bots and abuse. Normal use is not affected.

Performance

Faster Script Loading

Scripts start noticeably quicker now. We went through the whole path from the moment a player runs the loader to the moment your script starts, and cut out a lot of waiting. If a script still feels slow for you, tell us which one and we will look at it.

Macros in the Runner

The runner itself now uses macros, which gives it a small speed boost on every run.

Slow Queries, Fixed Again

We found and fixed more slow database queries. Pages that felt sluggish during busy hours should feel snappier.

Large Builds

Some large builds would sometimes not go through. That is fixed.

  • Updated MCP dashboard page and marketing page
  • Updated subdomains and URLs
  • SEO improvements, so LuaProtect is easier to find
  • We now follow web best practices more closely

  • Optimized our deploy process, so updates ship faster and more reliably
  • Plenty of internal updates
