LuaProtect v1.2 - Projects Engine, Creator Awards & Scaled Infrastructure

LuaProtect v1.2 introduces the Projects unified loadstring engine, Monthly Creator Awards, AI-driven ticket triage, Brevo email infrastructure, dedicated status page, updated MCP server, and platform optimizations.

Introduction

Only a few days after v1.1 dropped on October 11th, we officially hit 1,000 users on LuaProtect! A huge thank you to everyone using the site, sharing feedback, and helping us grow.

Because so many new developers are joining every day, we didn't want to wait around before fixing workflow friction. Version 1.2 is here with some big upgrades: folders are now Projects with a smart unified loadstring, we started Monthly Creator Awards, moved to Brevo so emails stop landing in spam, plugged an AI assistant into ticket chats for fast first replies, and put up a public status page at luaprotect.dev/status.

Here is a full breakdown of what changed, why we did it, and how to use it.

Monthly Creator Awards

We see a ton of creative scripts and projects being built on LuaProtect every single week, and we wanted a real way to give back to the people building here. Starting this month, we are giving out Monthly Creator Awards.

Every month, we'll pick standout developers and active community members who are doing great work and award them

Even if you do not get a reward, we still greatly appreciate everyone that uses Luaprotect and helps us to grow! Every script protected, bug reported, and suggestion you drop in chat directly shapes what we work on next.

Folders Are Now "Projects" (With Universal Loadstrings)

If you had a script that supported multiple Roblox games, managing it in the old folder system was a bit of a headache. You had to give your players different loadstrings for different places, or write your own custom loader script to figure out what game they were in.

We completely replaced folders with Projects, and every folder in your account has already been migrated over:

One Main Loadstring for Everything

Each Project now gives you a single Main Loadstring. You paste that one link into your executor, documentation, or Discord server, and your players never have to worry about running the wrong script again.

Automatic Game Detection

Inside your Project settings, you can attach your subscripts to specific Place IDs or Universe IDs. When the Main Loadstring runs inside a player's game, LuaProtect automatically checks game.PlaceId and serves the right subscript for that exact game on the fly.

You don't have to touch anything manually—all your existing folders, scripts, and links were migrated over automatically without breaking any active users.

AI First Response in Support Tickets

Our ticket volume has gone up quite a bit as we reached 1,000 users. To make sure you get help right away instead of waiting hours for a simple question, we added an AI first responder directly into ticket chats.

When you open a ticket, the AI will read your issue and try to give you an immediate answer—like fixing a syntax error, pointing to documentation, or explaining a setting.

Don't worry if your question doesn't get solved by the bot: a real human from our team will still read your ticket and reply. The AI is just there to give you an instant answer if it's something simple, so you don't have to wait around.

Better Email Delivery & Sane Notifications

Email delivery has been a weak spot for us as we've grown, so we made two big changes to clean it up:

Moving to Brevo

We switched our email backend over to Brevo. Previously, some password resets and verification emails were getting delayed or caught in spam filters. Brevo handles our growing traffic properly so important emails arrive in your inbox right away.

Calmer Inactivity Emails

We heard your feedback about the "Your scripts are still active" emails being annoying or showing up too frequently. We changed the logic completely: now, you will only receive that email if your account has been inactive for 14 consecutive days, and it will only be sent once instead of repeatedly bugging you.

Developer Tooling & Documentation

We spent time updating our external developer tools so you can hook into LuaProtect more easily:

Fixed & Updated MCP Server

If you use modern AI editors like Cursor, Windsurf, or Claude Desktop with the Model Context Protocol (MCP), our MCP integration had a few tool errors and outdated schemas. We fixed the bugs, updated the tool definitions, and made sure local AI assistants can reliably inspect, manage, and build your LuaProtect scripts without crashing.

Scripts Info API Documentation

We added official API docs for retrieving script details and telemetry at docs.luaprotect.dev/api/scripts-info. You can use this endpoint to fetch info about your scripts, check active statuses, and build your own custom dashboards.

Cortex (CRX) Legacy Macros Docs

When we moved Centurion 6.3 to the default compiler in v1.1, some developers asked where the old Cortex macros went. We created a dedicated guide at docs.luaprotect.dev/legacy-macros. This reference covers all the legacy CRX_* macros if you are maintaining older scripts.

Dedicated Status Page

We launched a public status monitor at luaprotect.dev/status.

Instead of wondering if your internet is slow or if our backend is having issues, you can check real-time uptime and response times for our primary database, runner cluster, and API endpoints. We also updated the website footer to put a clean "All Systems Operational" badge right under our brand name that takes you straight to the status page.

Dashboard Updates & Billing

We made a few noticeable tweaks around the dashboard to make everyday use smoother:

  • Usage in Billing Tab: Head over to Account Settings -> Billing to see exactly how many obfuscations you've used this month, how many extra tokens you have left, and your plan limits in clean visual bars.
  • Free Account Limit: To prevent automated bot abuse and keep the compilation queues fast for legitimate creators, free accounts are now capped at 30 obfuscations.
  • Improved Copy Indicator: Clicking the copy button on loadstrings, API keys, or Discord IDs now gives you clear, smooth feedback so you know for sure it copied to your clipboard.
  • Tuned AI Limits & Knowledge: The in-dashboard AI assistant was updated with our latest documentation and v1.2 changes. We also decreased the message limits slightly to keep the AI responsive and prevent server overload during busy hours.
  • UI Cleanups: Fixed inconsistent paddings, aligned modal buttons, and cleaned up mobile view cards.

Fixes & Performance Improvements

We squashed a bunch of bugs and cleaned up slow database queries that crept in during peak hours:

  • Fixed Google Sign-In: Fixed an annoying issue where Google sign-in would fail or loop on certain browser redirects.
  • Slow Queries Fixed: Optimized database indexes for activity logs, user profile queries, and key lookups so pages load much quicker.
  • Storage Optimization: Cleaned up temporary build caches and optimized database storage footprint so we aren't wasting server disk space on stale artifacts.
  • Backend Stability: Fixed smaller concurrency bugs, tightened error handling on high-traffic routes, and reduced API response latency across the board.
  • Discord Bot Cleanup: Removed the heavy background status checking from the helper bot to keep it fast and responsive when handling /whitelist commands.
